Women's Philanthropy

Woman to Woman  - Annually we have an outreach program to bring women from all over our community together.

Bryna Zehngut Mitzvot Award
The Advisory Council, which is made up of the current and past
Chairs of Women’s Philanthropy and the Women’s Campaign,
created the Bryna Zehngut Mitzvot Award. This award honors Bryna
Zehngut, of blessed memory, who was one of Tucson’s outstanding
leaders. This award recognizes one outstanding Jewish teenage
girl, who has shown leadership through her organizational work
and volunteer activities and has been a role model in enhancing
community awareness through Jewish values. Click here to nominate someone.

Campaign
Working with local, national and international agencies we are able
to transform lives and deliver hope, dignity and comfort to millions
of people at home, in Israel and around the world. The money raised
is used to help pay for services for the elderly, disabled, families
in crisis and children in need, Jewish education and programs to
strengthen Jewish communities with dignity and comfort. Many
women volunteer their time to call others in the Jewish community
and ask them to donate to the Annual Federation/United Jewish
Appeal Campaign. Women’s Campaign welcomes every gift - there
is no gift too small.

The Women's Campaign is comprised of these divisions:

Hatikva -   $1 to $999
Menorah -  $1,000 to $1,799
Pomegranate -  $1800 to $4,999
Lion of Judah - $5,000 +

Campaign Endowment
Women can perpetuate their support of the community beyond their lifetime by establishing a campaign endowment. This ensures that whatever programs and services are needed as the community changes through the years, funding will be available through the Annual Federation/UJA Campaign. Endowments can be made several ways including a bequest in one's will or through a life insurance policy. A PACE (Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment) can be left in any amount. A LOJE (Lion of Judah Endowment) perpetuates a Lion of Judah gift.

We invite you to join the hundreds of wonderful women involved in building a strong Jewish community through Women's Philanthrophy

Deanna Evenchik - WP Chair  Marilyn Einstein - Chair Elect
